Hmm...well I know a lot of people would like to be the ribosomes because they do so much! But I would prefer the rER, because it holds so many ribosomes. Once the rER makes secretory protiens it can keep them seperate from the proteins made from free ribosomes. Those secretory protiens then get shipped of in the vesicle because the rER is in charge of that. (: Oh! The rER also is a membrane factory for the cell and grows in place by adding membrane proteins and phospolipids to its own membrane.
